Trying something new. These are pastels brushed on. I like it cause it looks almost like something water colored and yet-- not quite. I dunno. ANYWAY.

A lone vigilante - or, that's what he used to consider himself. Past hobbies under such a guise include blowing up small bases of teams the likes of Rocket, Galactic, etc., as well as breaking and entering wherever his heart leads.

His motto~ Steal from the rich and give to the poor – the 'poor' individual in question being himself, of course. When it comes to tests of skill in his chosen 'profession,' Mathew isn't one to back down from a challenge.

Proficient in most things 'technical,' and is particularly adept at vanishing.

Most prized possession is a lugia feather he wears on a necklace underneath his clothes. He found it a long time ago and would be quite possibly the happiest fellow in the world were he ever to meet its owner at last.

Often seen talking to a pink-haired girl named Rika via a modified P*DA.

As for why he's entering the PCBC... Well, that's top secret! But rumour has it he's there to investigate the source of his recent insomnia, aaand maaaybe nab himself a nice trophy as a souvenir – whether he wins, or not!

Tl;dr - loyal (to a point), either quiet or moody (thanks to lack of sleep and teenage hormones in general), fairly knowledgeable about most pokemon (save the unova generation), extreme dislike/fear of electric types (though he'd rather die than admit to it).

Mat's BFF, fo' sho'. These two have got along and understood one another from the first. Headstrong but always in control, Treble is the team leader. He will always fight until Matt tells him to stop, and not a second less.

Gyro, the arcanine

Nabbed as a growlithe off an abusive Rocket, Gyro is about as loyal to Mat as Treble. Fond of carrying his master. In battle, Gyro is one to use his speed to his advantage where possible. Unless to protect a teammate, he doesn't really like to get hurt, though...

Echo, the pikachu

Fiery, and possessed of zero mercy. Mat is reluctant to even have her in his party, but knows well the value of having electricity at hand when doing his... 'job.' Echo, for her part, doesn't give a rat's behind what he thinks of her, so long as she gets played on the field. She just wants to fight! ... and maybe destroy a few things on the side.

He and Pavelski the abra (currently in Kanto with Rika) are what you'd call, well... 'Bros4life.' With him, he's at a bit of a loss. He doesn't joke nearly as much. He doesn't laugh nearly as much. But that's okay, 'cause he still does more than enough of both to get on Mat's nerves. As with most things in life, Marleau does not appear to take battle seriously – but therein lies danger, for to take him lightly is to fall ploy to his trickery, the likes of which comes as naturally to him as his beloved laughing and joking around.
