[GBU] The Most Dangerous Island || Round 02 - 4When it rains, it pours, so they say, and last night it poured. Thankfully, there was no lack of proper shelter in the ruins, though Rem did wonder occasionally about how his opponent was faring. He and his team had wandered under what covered areas they could find until Rem fell into a puddle and had a near panic attack about drowning; there was, for a time thereafter, no more of that.
Morning found him less than enthusiastic to leave the area’s protection, for he’d woken to numerous cries of unsettled Pokémon across the jungle that could be heard even here, and he wanted no part in that. The sounds spelled trouble, and trouble meant, usually, a pain in the ass in-waiting. Most of the third and final day was also spent thus in the ruins, but finally it was time to head on back and report his findings.
The rain had cleared out overnight, which left this afternoon a mix of sunny and muggy. When Rem showed up, Rudy was already talking with Admin Rowan, and Admin Athens

Rem tossed another log onto the fire, bicolour eyes reflecting in its flames. His hair was all tied back, for once, and out of his face - it was the way he preferred to work when things got ugly, and he'd been too lazy to let it down. The sun had yet to peek in on their location, a small alcove overlooking lower parts of the jungle while still hidden away. It had been a rough afternoon, followed by a quiet night.
Rem drew his knees in to his chest and looked away, into the murk of the surrounding darkness. Na’Mi slept nestled up to his right, while the rest of his team stood guard just outside the perimeters of the hideout. The fire was warm, but the early morning was cold and damp.
Eyes closed and he strained for sleep, but it didn’t come. All he could do was play over yesterday’s scenario in his head and think of what could’ve been done better.
“Rudy?” Rem shakily inquired a third time, then he leaped forward to catch
[GBU] The Most Dangerous Island || Round 02 - 2“Now, listen, why would you not stick around? When I find my prize, I assure you, it shall be grand!” Rudy rose with a flourish, then bent right back down to pick more flowers. “One for Lady Prue, and one for Lady Eisha. One for young Miss Ave, whenever our hearts shall meet again...” He hummed cheerfully as he went about his work, picking only the most beautiful and brightest of gifts. Simon the Spheal tried to help but mostly rolled about, squishing possible prospects.
Alejandro the Magnemite watched silently, considering whether to believe Rudy’s claim. There were six other competitors, after all, and odds were at least one of them was doing something more interesting than... this. It turned and prepared to leave hoping, if it was quiet enough, the blond wouldn’t notice. No such luck. Flowers in one hand, the tall man soon had the Electric Type nestled in the crook of an elbow against his body.
“C’mon, don’t be like that,
[GBU] The Most Dangerous Island || Round 02 - 1Where ominous clouds first greeted the contestants, a promising sunrise fell the next day on the lucky seven remaining. Remien stood greeting the dawn with open arms as it filtered through dark green foliage. Most had slept in tents on the beach, Rem had chosen instead a bedroll and a tidy little spot by the jungle’s edge. With an innocent conscience, sleep took him early. He had only the time to count fifty seven stars in the sky before drifting off to Slumber Land...
...But in the here and now, morning was on the way, and another foray into the jungle awaited. Rem yawned and stretched. Others slept or quietly went about their morning rituals. Rem simply sat, comfortably perched on a boulder, and stared. One hour passed. Then two. Then BOOM! A sound that no one should ever have to wake up to - but hey, the solarbeam was probably more efficient than coffee. Cringing and massaging an ear, Rem meandered over to see what the fuss was about.
“Goooood morning ladies, ya m
